Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) Requests

The Colorado Open Records Act guarantees that all public records must be open for inspection by any person at reasonable times, except as provided in CORA part 2 or as otherwise specifically provided by law (§ 24-72-201, C.R.S.). CORA does not guarantee access to public records in a specific format.

Procedures and Form

Morgan County's CORA Policy, Colorado Open Records Act Requests, Morgan County, Colorado, outlines procedures and fees that may apply to CORA requests received by Morgan County. To review the policy and make a records request, use this form Morgan County Open Records Request Form. The Morgan County Clerk and Recorder will coordinate County staff in notifying the custodian of such records requested for retrieval. Records for the following records must be made to the proper custodian and will not be accepted by the Clerk's Office:
