Child Support Services
The Colorado Child Support Services (CSS) Program oversees the state’s child support system. Individual child support orders are managed by Colorado’s county child support offices.

Daycare (CCCAP) Program
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides child care assistance to families who are working, searching for employment, or are in training, and families who are enrolled in the Colorado Works program and need child care services to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency. CCCAP provides access to reduced cost child care at licensed child care facilities or qualified (unlicensed) providers.

Foster Care, Kinship and Adoption Programs
Foster care is a temporary home where adults provide a safe home for children and teens, because their parents need time to learn new skills to become the parents their children need them to be. Social services agencies are always in need of families who are willing to care for children with special needs, sibling groups, older youth and young people who speak a different language.
Kids are resilient. Even when they’ve experienced toxic stress, like child abuse or neglect, they can overcome and reach their full potential with help from the community. If you have time and patience to dedicate to helping a young person work through the challenges that often accompany a difficult childhood, we need your help.

Kinship caregivers are relatives, friends, neighbors and other people with a significant relationship to the child, youth or family. Kinship caregivers provide care and protection to children and youth who cannot remain safely in their home due to issues.

Adoption creates supportive, loving families for children, teens and adults. There are three types of adoption: adoption from foster care, international adoption and private domestic adoption. Most adoptions in the United States are through the foster care system.
The primary goal of foster care is to reunify children with their parents. However, if that option is not available, adoption or another type of permanent home is the secondary goal.
